WHO we are.

Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the US Small Business Administration, the WVU Women’s Business Center aims to empower women entrepreneurs to become the next WV powerhouse. As the only women’s business center in the state, the center offers services to support small business development to achieve next level success in local communities across West Virginia. The SBA partnership stems from the passage of the Women's Business Ownership Act of 1988, which aids the success of women business owners.

WHAT we do.

The WVU Women’s Business Center offers the support, coaching, mentorship and training to help women entrepreneurs establish and grow their businesses. Through tailored coaching sessions, technical and marketing assistance, government resources, strategic partnerships, investment opportunities and certification services, the WBC assists all stages of business development, from start-up to mature businesses.

WHY we are here.

The WVU Women's Business Center's mission is to empower women entrepreneurs to grow their businesses, build on their success, drive innovation in their communities, and leverage opportunities to strengthen West Virginia’s economy to support statewide growth and prosperity.
