Cory Dennison is President and CEO of Vision Shared. He grew up in Barboursville, WV, and attended Marshall University on a football scholarship. Following graduation from Marshall, Cory was a Burke Fellow with the 2003 WV Legislature. He also has a law degree from West Virginia University College of Law (06). Prior to Vision Shared, Cory spent the previous four years working for Governor Earl Ray Tomblin in many capacities. Cory Served as Governor Tomblin’s Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Senior Advisor, and was Political Director for his two elections.
Cory’s work resume includes Tyson and Tyson Law Firm, Marathon Ashland oil refinery, political campaigns, and nonprofit work. While working with the Marshall Foundation, Cory led the effort to create the Simon Perry Constitutional Center at Marshall University and the Shelba Pew River Research. His campaign experience includes three congressional races, one Presidential race, and two gubernatorial races. Cory currently lives in Charleston, WV with his wife Jennifer and his nine-year-old son Cole.
